Marriage
Matrimony joins a man and a woman together in a life-long covenant raised by Christ to the dignity of a sacrament. It confers on them the grace they need for attaining holiness in their married life and for responsible acceptance and upbringing of their children.
The marriage policy of the Archdiocese reminds us of the sacredness of marriage and the beauty of the Sacrament. To assist engaged couples in growing toward this sacramental covenant, we ask at least 6 months notification of marriage to allow the proper time for preparation.
