ARCHDIOCESAN SPIRITUAL SUPPORT FOR ADDICTION

We are pleased to share with you a new resource to assist families and any individuals who are struggling with addiction to find spiritual support. The program is called “Hope in Christ: Spiritual Support for Addiction” and the website can be found at www.archphila.org/hope.  This webpage will be a central location where families can find the spiritual support they need. Events and resources are being offered by our parishes and local ministries who are extending spiritual assistance.

AID FOR FRIENDS

The mission of Aid for Friends (AFF) is to alleviate the hunger and loneliness of isolated homebound individuals. Volunteers visit with client friends throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, providing meals and life-enhancing friendship. All AFF services are provided free of charge. Meals are prepared by volunteers, stored in freezers in church and then picked up and distributed by visitor volunteers.

CYO SPORTS

The CYO, Catholic Youth Organization, is comprised of numerous sports, social, and spiritual events for grade school youth. Sports include soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, and track for grade school students, and basketball for high school students. Coaches are accredited through the archdiocesan Office for Catholic Education. Costs for participating in sports related activities vary with the equipment and procedures involved for each sport.
