The Call to Conversion and Holiness

Cardinal Justin Rigali recently published a Pastoral letter for all the faithful announcing a planning initiative in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  This Pastoral document entitled “Called to Conversion and Holiness” stresses three major priorities for our Archdiocese as we plan for the future so that “we might be more effective in advancing the mission of Christ.”

These super-Priorities—the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Confession and the Special need for Priestly Vocations in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia—will ensure that “our Catholic faith will more deeply take root in our daily lives” and that “we are faithful to the mission entrusted to us by Jesus Christ.”  There must also be other evangelizing and sanctifying initiatives as we support the vocation to Christian Marriage, consecrated life and all called to the dedicated single life.

The letter also announces strategic planning for our Archdiocesan Office structure, our Parishes and Catholic Education.

To learn more about how and when this will all unfold, read Cardinal Rigali’s pastoral letter on the Archdiocesan Website at www.archphila.org.  Also, look for periodic announcements as together we strive daily to respond faithfully to the “Call to Conversion and Holiness.”
